Errors Costly in 8-5 Loss to The Apprentice School

After an exciting opening game victory, the Stratford baseball team could overcome six errors while falling to The Apprentice School 8-5.  Tyler Sunstrum got the start on the mound for Stratford, throwing three innings, striking out three batters and only allowing one earned run.  

Andrew Brooks notched his first home run as a Cardinal, by leading off the top of the fourth inning with a blast.  Justin Smith collected two hits, while Austin Elledge and Tremayne White each added an RBI in the loss.  

Ryan Rhodes picked up the loss for Stratford and Emilio Rivera pitched a scoreless inning and a third.  Stratford falls to 1-1 on the season and returns to action in Hampton Roads cup play on Friday afternoon with a noon first pitch vs. Paul D Camp.
