Stratford Cardinals dominate in their home opener

The Stratford Cardinals improved their record to 3-1 as they knocked off Blue Lights College of Apex 92-51 in their home opener.
The Cardinals jumped ahead early, taking a 44-24 lead into halftime. In the first half alone, Stratford connected on 53 percent of their shots from the field, while Blue Lights made just 33 percent. Chris Roscoe paced Stratford, scoring 16 points, while off the bench, Jaelean Stagg added 12 points and Kendall Shepherd scored 10.
One of the keys was Stratford's ability to dominate on the boards, outrebounding the visitors 43-19. Roscoe led the way with 10 rebounds and DeAndre Demiel added six.
The Cardinals travel to New York this weekend where they will participate in the SUNY-Delhi classic tournament.
