After a sixteen day layoff, the Stratford University women's basketball team finally saw game action on Saturday night, the rested and fresh Cardinals ran out to a 45-19 lead at the half and never looked back enroute to a 65-42 road victory over Thomas Nelson.  

Synquist Strothers led the Cardinals with 16 points, while Shanell Pope added 15 points to help Stratford improve to 3-4 on the year.

Stratford returns to action on Sunday, with a 3:00 pm tip against crosstown rival The Apprentice School at the Julius Conn Rec Center.
