The Stratford University Men's Basketball had a big advantage in the post on Monday night and the Cardinals exploited that weakness while pulling out a 100-83 victory. Stratford outrebounded Blue Lights College, 70-24 on the night in a game that was not as close as the final score. The advantage on the boards, led to 33 second chance points for Stratford, while limiting Blue Lights to only 4 second chance opportunities.
Ronald Davis and Jamonte Ricks each turned in double-doubles, with Davis scoring a game high 26 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, while Ricks scored 16 points and pulled down a game high 18 rebounds. Kendell Shepherd scored 16 points, had 2 steals and dished out 7 assists and Keon Turner added 16 points in the win.
Stratford wraps up the regular season at 19-4 and returns to action on Friday, February 21st in Charlotte, NC for the EMAC tournament.
